Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/site-builder

1. Open Website

Action: Open Website. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose Content & knowledge → Website.

Expected result: The page canvas and component library appear.

Confirm it worked: This shipped editor currently uses local component state; it is not a verified hosted publishing workflow.

Result: Open Website. Select the image to enlarge it.

2. Add or arrange sections

Action: Add or arrange sections. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use Component library, such as Testimonial or Pricing, and inspect the resulting Page canvas.

Expected result: The selected section appears in the current editing session.

Confirm it worked: Check the displayed content and order.

Result: Add or arrange sections. Select the image to enlarge it.

3. Preview and undo

Action: Preview and undo. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use Desktop preview, Tablet preview or Mobile preview for the canvas. Use Undo/Redo to inspect changes.

Expected result: The preview size and local editing history change.

Confirm it worked: Keep this guide’s screenshots desktop-sized; canvas device preview is an editor control.

Result: Preview and undo. Select the image to enlarge it.

4. Understand Publish

Action: Understand Publish. Select the image to enlarge it.

The current Publish control changes the local label to Published. Do not treat this as a durable deployment or live website URL.

Expected result: The editor’s local presentation changes.

Confirm it worked: Reload to distinguish session-local state from persisted business content.

Result: Understand Publish. Select the image to enlarge it.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

The current source stores canvas/history/publication state locally. Do not promise users that this control deploys a site or persists every edit.

Use the article delivery workflow for the implemented content publication boundary. A future durable website flow needs a separate verified guide.
