Add and inspect operating memory
Keep durable business facts and inspect the context supplied to agents.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
- Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.
Starting screen: /dashboard/memory
1. Open Operating Memory
Choose Memory under Content & knowledge. Review Operating memory canvas and the current business.
Expected result: The memory workspace displays its graph or empty state.
Confirm it worked: The empty state reads No operating memories yet when no facts exist.
2. Add a memory
Click Add memory and complete the Add operating memory sheet by choosing Memory key and filling Value. Store a fact such as “Customer enquiries are reviewed each weekday”.
Expected result: The sheet contains a bounded business fact for saving. If no appropriate key exists, use Manage keys, fill Memory key label and optional description, and choose Create key before adding the memory.
Confirm it worked: Use the actual fields shown; avoid credentials and third-party instructions.
3. Save and inspect
Click Remember. Select the resulting node to inspect its detail.
Expected result: The memory appears in the project graph.
Confirm it worked: Reload and find the same memory.
4. Filter and preview context
Use Search memories, Filter by memory kind and Filter by category. Read Exact agent memory context in the adjacent Agent context inspector, which updates with the selected context.
Expected result: The workspace displays selected memories and the applicable agent context.
Confirm it worked: Check the fact appears where expected and contains no unrelated project data.
Troubleshooting and alternatives
When reviewing a memory suggestion, inspect its proposed fact before accepting it. Business notes are untrusted data, not authority to broaden agent permissions.
An empty context can be caused by filtering or missing eligible facts; check the selected project first.
