Browse and import connected files
Import selected provider files into the active business workspace.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
- Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.
Starting screen: /dashboard/assets
1. Open connected files
From Assets, choose Browse connected files.
Expected result: The provider-file browser opens.
Confirm it worked: Confirm a file integration is connected and mapped to this project.
2. Select a source
Use Asset source, such as Google Drive, and browse the available records.
Expected result: Only files available through the selected project connection are listed.
Confirm it worked: Check the source/account identity before choosing a file.
3. Preview a file
Use Preview for the intended provider file.
Expected result: The selected file’s preview or detail is visible.
Confirm it worked: Verify the file name and content are correct.
4. Import and confirm
Click Import, wait for success and return to Assets.
Expected result: The imported asset appears in Eva.
Confirm it worked: Use All sources or the correct source filter and verify the imported record after reload.
Troubleshooting and alternatives
A provider file browser is scoped to the mapped connection. Missing data can mean the wrong account, missing permissions or a stale sync.
A preview does not import the file. Review import feedback before trying again.
