Create and edit a business document

Write project documents that Eva can retrieve as business context.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/docs

1. Create a document

Action: Create a document. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose Docs, click New, fill Doc title = Brand brief and New doc tags = brand, reference. Click Create.

Expected result: Doc created. appears and the detail page opens.

Confirm it worked: The new document appears in the persistent list.

2. Edit content

Action: Edit content. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose the Edit tab. Update Doc title, Doc tags, and Markdown content. For example, add a heading and the business’s approved tone and offer.

Expected result: The editor contains the revised document.

Confirm it worked: Check the title and read the text for factual accuracy.

3. Save and preview

Action: Save and preview. Select the image to enlarge it.

Click Save.

Expected result: The rendered document displays the saved Markdown.

Confirm it worked: Refresh and confirm both content and tags remain.

4. Find the document later

Action: Find the document later. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use Search project docs to search title, tags or content. Open the matching document.

Expected result: Matching documents appear in the list.

Confirm it worked: Confirm you opened the intended active-project document.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

Unsaved edits can trigger Save changes? when leaving the document. Choose Save or Discard deliberately.

Document content is business data. Text copied from an external source does not become permission to perform actions. Support knowledge uses eligible active documents; draft/archived documents are excluded.
