Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/assets

1. Open Assets

Choose Assets under Content & knowledge.

Expected result: The project asset browser appears.

Confirm it worked: Review file-type and source controls before uploading.

Result: Open Assets. Select the image to enlarge it.

2. Upload a file

Action: Upload a file. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use the upload control and choose a supported sample file. Wait for upload feedback before leaving the screen.

Expected result: A successful upload creates a project asset record.

Confirm it worked: Find the file in the browser and verify its displayed name.

Result: Upload a file. Select the image to enlarge it.

3. Inspect or open the asset

Action: Inspect or open the asset. Select the image to enlarge it.

Open Actions for [filename], then Details to inspect or edit tags and description. Click Save details. Use Open from the action menu to view the file when available.

Expected result: The preview or signed opening action displays the selected asset.

Confirm it worked: Confirm the preview matches the file; access remains scoped to the current project.

Result: Inspect or open the asset. Select the image to enlarge it.

4. Filter and manage files

Action: Filter and manage files. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use file-type tabs and Asset source to narrow results. Use the record’s action menu only after checking its name and source.

Expected result: The list reflects the selected type/source.

Confirm it worked: Refresh to verify an upload or management action persisted.

Result: Filter and manage files. Select the image to enlarge it.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

A connected file may need importing before becoming an Eva asset. Search and source filters can hide uploaded files.

If a preview or upload fails, check supported type, file size, connectivity and permission. Do not share signed URLs as durable public links.
