Invite and manage project teammates

Give a teammate editor access to the intended project.

Desktop · Pro (team invitations) / Free (retained membership where permitted) · Owner

Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/team

1. Open Project team

Choose Project team under Team & automation. Review Project members.

Expected result: The current membership list is displayed.

Confirm it worked: Confirm the selected project and your ownership.

Result: Open Project team. Select the image to enlarge it.

2. Invite an editor

Click Invite editor. In Invite an editor, enter the teammate’s intended email and use Send invitation.

Expected result: A pending invitation is recorded and delivered through the configured email service.

Confirm it worked: Check Pending invitations for the exact address.

3. Check acceptance

After the teammate accepts, revisit Members and pending invitations.

Expected result: The accepted teammate appears as an editor with the appropriate project access.

Confirm it worked: Ask them to verify the project they joined; they do not receive ownership of other projects.

4. Review membership actions

Use the available member/invitation actions only after reading the target identity. If transferring ownership, review Confirm transfer carefully.

Expected result: The chosen membership change is applied within its permission rules.

Confirm it worked: Reload and confirm the current owner, editor list and invitation state.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

An invitation is project-specific. Expired or revoked invitations must not be reused; send a fresh valid invitation when appropriate.

Ownership transfer has broader consequences than inviting an editor. Check the recipient and resulting privileges before confirmation.
