Connect Gmail, Workspace or Outlook
Connect email accounts and map mailboxes without confusing personal OAuth and administrator delegation.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
- Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

1. Choose the email route
In Integrations, choose Connect Gmail or Connect Microsoft Outlook. Workspace delegation is available through the Gmail connection settings where configured.
Expected result: Eva opens the corresponding connection flow.
Confirm it worked: Workspace administrator delegation is a separate flow from individual Gmail OAuth.
2. Complete provider setup
For personal accounts, select the intended Google/Microsoft account and review consent. For Workspace delegation, follow Google Workspace connection steps, use Open Google Admin, then Validate and continue only after configuring the required delegation.
Expected result: The account is connected when provider validation succeeds.
Confirm it worked: Follow Google Workspace delegation guidance and Microsoft consent guidance.
3. Map a mailbox
In settings, use Choose a mailbox. For delegated mailboxes, complete Mailbox key, Mailbox label, Assigned agent, then Save mailbox. Use Use for project for the intended resource.
Expected result: A mailbox is assigned to the project.
Confirm it worked: Confirm its address and agent; auto-reply defaults require review.
4. Check Inbox and automation
Open Inbox, select the mailbox and review Auto-reply settings.
Expected result: Cached messages and mailbox-specific automation settings are available.
Confirm it worked: Explicitly disable replies if automatic response is not desired.
Troubleshooting and alternatives
Adding another Gmail/Outlook account does not change an existing mailbox’s identity. Review primary/default choices separately.
Administrator consent or Workspace delegation may require someone with external organisation privileges. Do not claim setup succeeded until Eva validates it.
