Create and switch business projects

Separate businesses and workstreams into their own project workspaces.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard

1. Open the project menu

Action: Open the project menu. Select the image to enlarge it.

Click Switch project in the sidebar. Expand the sidebar with Toggle Sidebar if needed.

Expected result: Your accessible projects and project actions are listed.

Confirm it worked: Check the selected project before choosing another.

2. Switch the active business

Action: Switch the active business. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose a different project by name.

Expected result: The switcher and project-scoped screens change to that business.

Confirm it worked: Open Docs or CRM and confirm the records belong to the selected project.

3. Create an additional project

Action: Create an additional project. Select the image to enlarge it.

On Pro, use Create new project from the command menu or Add project in the project menu. Complete Project name, Description, then the business context.

Expected result: The additional-project flow contains project and business steps.

Confirm it worked: Personal information is not requested again.

4. Finish and confirm

Action: Finish and confirm. Select the image to enlarge it.

Click Create project. After the dashboard opens, revisit Switch project.

Expected result: Both accessible projects appear and the new project is active.

Confirm it worked: Refresh and confirm its name and records remain selected.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

Project selection is a data boundary. Do not assume a draft, customer or document from one project belongs to another.

If a route cannot open after switching, return through navigation and check current membership. A remembered URL does not grant access.
