Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/inbox

1. Connect an inbox

If Inbox shows Connect an email inbox, open Integrations and connect Gmail, Google Workspace or Microsoft Outlook. Select the mailbox mapping for this project.

Expected result: An eligible mapped mailbox becomes available in Inbox.

Confirm it worked: Verify the mailbox identity before enabling any automation.

Result: Connect an inbox. Select the image to enlarge it.

2. Choose a mailbox

Open Project mailboxes or Current mailbox and choose the intended mailbox.

Expected result: The Inbox thread list belongs to that selection.

Confirm it worked: Check the mailbox label; provider credentials are never entered into an agent message.

3. Filter and open a conversation

Choose To respond, Drafted, or All and select a thread.

Expected result: The Primary conversation messages display in the reading area.

Confirm it worked: Confirm sender, recipients, subject and dates.

4. Inspect history and attachments

Use Show quoted history or the earlier-message disclosure where needed. Select an attachment preview or Download.

Expected result: Earlier messages and the chosen attachment are available.

Confirm it worked: Verify the attachment name before opening or saving it.

5. Refresh deliberately

Use Refresh inbox and page controls when looking for new or older threads.

Expected result: Cached mailbox data is refreshed through the integration boundary.

Confirm it worked: A missing message should be checked against filters and connection status before retrying.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

Initial resource sync and reconnect are not the same as new verified inbound messages. Do not assume they trigger automatic replies.

If the mailbox is missing, verify connection, resource mapping, permissions and integration service availability.
