Create channels and collaborate in threads

Organise project conversations and reply without losing the main discussion.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
  • Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.

Starting screen: /dashboard/channels

1. Create a channel

Open channel browsing and click Create channel. In Create a channel, fill Channel title = Product launch and Description = Launch planning. Submit the form.

Expected result: The new project channel appears.

Confirm it worked: Open Product launch and confirm its title.

Result: Create a channel. Select the image to enlarge it.

2. Configure participants

Open Channel settings. Review Channel agents and choose eligible agents, then Save changes.

Expected result: The selected participation settings are saved.

Confirm it worked: Reopen settings to verify the chosen agents.

3. Send a message

Type in Message #Product launch… and use Submit. Use Mention a participant where needed.

Expected result: The message appears with its author and any mention styling.

Confirm it worked: Verify you posted in the intended channel.

4. Use a focused thread

Open the message’s actions and choose Reply in thread. Type in Message #thread… and submit, then use Back to channel.

Expected result: The reply appears in the thread associated with that message.

Confirm it worked: The main channel retains its discussion and thread reply indicator.

5. React or export

Use Add reaction and pick an emoji. Use Download Markdown archive from channel settings where available.

Expected result: Reactions or an archive are produced for the selected channel.

Confirm it worked: Confirm the selected message or downloaded channel content.

Troubleshooting and alternatives

General is permanent and may not expose the same lifecycle controls as a custom channel.

If a mention or participant is unavailable, check project membership and agent availability. A thread reply belongs to its parent message.
