Agents and collaboration
Create and configure a specialist agent
Give a project specialist a clear purpose and versioned instructions.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Eva and select the intended project.
- Use fictional records when practising; changes affect the selected business.
Starting screen: /dashboard/agents
1. Open Agents
Choose Team & automation → Agents. Review the Project agents list.
Expected result: Eva and project specialists are shown.
Confirm it worked: Check whether the project’s plan permits custom-agent creation.
2. Start a specialist
Click Create agent. On an eligible plan, choose Template, then enter Name and Role.
Expected result: The creation sheet offers specialist configuration.
Confirm it worked: Free-plan attempts show Pro is required for agents rather than creating a specialist.
3. Describe its work
Fill Purpose, Instructions, and Persona brief where shown. Explain a focused read-only responsibility, such as reviewing business marketing priorities.
Expected result: The definition states the specialist’s responsibility and communication style.
Confirm it worked: Do not add secrets or claim the specialist has unrestricted write authority.
4. Create or save a version
Submit the creation form. For an existing specialist, use Configure [agent name], edit the definition, then click Save new version. The save button appears only after a change.
Expected result: The specialist or a new definition version is saved.
Confirm it worked: Reload Agents and reopen its configuration to confirm the saved values.
5. Manage availability
Use the supported active/pause/archive controls. Review confirmation carefully before Delete permanently.
Expected result: The specialist’s availability or lifecycle changes.
Confirm it worked: Check the appropriate list and channel participation after the action.
Troubleshooting and alternatives
Custom creation and configuration depend on plan and ownership. Follow the displayed upgrade dialog rather than attempting to bypass it.
A specialist can use only its verified project capabilities. Voice configuration, when available, belongs to the Agents hub rather than a standalone Voice page.
